Are you ready for some "FOODball"? Yes, it's that time of the year again. The Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 4th and you can be a part of the festivities! The Souper Bowl of Caring is now a national food drive campaign held each January. Last year our parish collected and donated 978 pounds of non-perishable food products to the Brunswick food bank which provides monthly food staples to about 200 local families in need. This year the food bank has a need for peanut butter, canned meats (beef, pork, and chicken) and fish (tuna and salmon), canned fruit, hearty soups, hamburger helper, and other ready-to-prepare boxed meals. The food bank currently has an ample supply of canned vegetables. Cash contributions can also be given and BEACON will use the cash donations for weekly purchases of fresh bread, eggs, and meat. For more information, please contact Charlie and Sherry Harris.
