A COMMUNITY THAT FEEDS YOU
GRACE is a church which feeds people - body and soul. Our community is grounded and shaped by the Rule of St. Benedict who instructed his monks on the practice of hospitality to all who come. Kathy Brown, who leads our hospitality team, said, "We may get everything else wrong, but we do know how to feed people!"
Grace feeds all who come in many ways. Spiritually, through the deeply reverent worship of God and the welcome table of the Eucharist. Bodily through our various ministries including our weekly after worship Hospitality Hour, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, and involvement in various community efforts such as the BEACON's food pantry. Are you hungry? Come visit and be fed!

SPIRITUAL CARE
As a community, we care for each other. Got a promotion? We'll rejoice with you. Finished college? We'll celebrate with you. Sick? we'll visit you, maybe bring dinner. At a crossroads? We'll talk and pray with you. For we may be many parts, but we are one body.
Ask our members why they love GRACE and you're sure to get stories of times we've laughed, cried and prayed together. It's who we are.

TELL ME ABOUT THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH
There's a lot to tell! Here's the Readers Digest Condensed version: The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion consisting of 85 million members. Our roots are in the Church of England which was planted here when the English colonized North America. The Episcopal Church has many traditions but we interpret our faith within the framework of scripture, tradition and reason. This keeps our faith fresh and alive in the 21st century.
Anglicans have a saying - Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi. A close translation is "the law of praying is the law of believing" or "as we pray, so we believe." Come pray with us and see how prayer can shape your life and discipleship within a believing community. |
